International work environment, most people are passionate about the organisation & its mission. Advantages (financial and social) are hard to find elsewhere, especially flexible working hours (two days of remote working per week while a large proportion of companies are reverting to one day or no days), which is the trade-off for an event-driven culture that can be demanding at certain times of the year.

Inconvénients

Not all organisations are perfect, and the IOC is no exception. However, each person is responsible for doing their bit and not just relying on others (managers, senior managers, directors or HR) to do so! Complaining is part of the problem; complaining and proposing ideas for solutions or solutions themselves is more difficult but much more responsible! Let us take note of this and act accordingly! Also, as a reminder, the IOC is responsible for finding the best solutions for the entire Olympic Movement and ensuring the sustainability of the Olympic Games. Some decisions may therefore take longer than in the business world. We just have to accept this...and it creates a specific culture that indeed may not suit everyone!
