Shifting sands, shady practices and empty words
Avantages
There are some great people working for the company who are passionate about sustainability and decarbonisation. They have a well located shared office space, in a thriving corner of London. You might be allowed to wfh depending on the ever changing policy. They have free drinks and snacks. They allow dogs in the office.
Inconvénients
Some middle management and senior HR treat staff like the enemy. Morale is low. The application of wfh and work abroad policy is applied unevenly. Senior HR work primarily to cover their own backs. There is subtle pressure to work long hours and through lunch. Sustainability and decarbonisation are low priorities. Staff are under-resourced. The office doesn't have proper desks - they have narrow console tables. The office is frequently very untidy. Senior management spend all their time in meetings and don't spend time with the workers. The company is data obsessed - to the point where it's weird. Staff harassment was minimised and brushed off by HR. Pay reviews are an elaborate, time-consuming farce. Office politics and backstabbing are prevalent.
