    Long hours are necessary to support your workload. As mentioned in other reviews MANY people are leaving (usually the best and brightest at that) and it takes HR a significant amount of time to backfill so your team will probably never be adequately staffed. An implementation role is a lot more technical in an IT manner than you will realize. You will likely have to support server cutovers (which no one will mention to you in the interview process) with little to no support/training about the 28397298 things that can and will go wrong. Further, the IT vendors Eze uses to assist with installation of their software are not the easiest to work with so you often have to troubleshoot IT issues on your own.

    Training is virtually non-existent, nevermind training documentation, which puts you in a bind when clients ask for it. Eze has a sink or swim environment and even for a self starter it is nearly impossible to swim at times. Come raise time, you could be told you are vital part of the team and work harder than most people, but still get a 3% raise, because 2% is the average, and after all, raises at Eze are 'primarily a cost of living adjustment.'

    Avantages

    Eze is a dynamic place with a lot of bright people. In the last 3 years, several new execs have come in to orgs like client service, PM, IT, Marketing and HR. Without exception, these people have brought new best practices and have driven a lot of positive change. Their external knowledge has been hugely valuable in helping Eze to grow up and prepare for the future.

    In the 10 years I've been at Eze - there has always been opportunity after opportunity available for advancement. If you are willing to work hard and want a place where your hard work can actually have an impact - Eze is the place.

    Eze has been able to maintain a innovative 'tech company' feel despite being inside an industry which isn't always on the vanguard of new tech. Don't lose this!

    Inconvénients

    Career mentoring can be a bit hard to find at Eze since there are a lot of folks who grew up within the organization.

    The SS&C acquisition brings a lot of uncertainty for everyone at Eze - as would any acquisition. Move as quickly as you can to build a new vision and strategy for Eze that makes sense. Minimize organic integration with SS&C and promote strategic integration or it will be mass chaos.

    Avantages

    I really loved the people at Eze and it is a great environment to learn in early in your career. although I respect and value the vast majority of the many “legacy” employees, some are insecure and use their deeply entrenched positions to fight newer leaderships direction tooth and nail. Just because you made on premise software work 10-15 years ago doesn’t mean you cannot be open to externally hired leaders expert opinions that can help.

    CAN YOU PLEASE GET EVERY EMPLOYEE LAPTOPS? It starts things out on the wrong foot to hand somebody a desktop and is insulting to many. Also, it is cheaper ........

    Avantages

    Most individual contributors are great employees. Most people understand we are in this together so let’s figure it out somehow.
    Great health benefits, although this might change with the recent SSC acquisition.

    Inconvénients

    Where to begin?
    1. Company works their employees to death, part of it is their fault the other is due to insanely high turnover.
    2. Associate Directors and above do absolutely nothing. Don’t expect to be managed but instead to be thrown into the wild with little to no guidance. Some directors see it and care but most turn a blind eye.
    3. Work life balance is abysmal. Get in early and stay late. Not often, ALWAYS.
    4. Thankless work. This ties into the above, you constantly get more work even when your plate is full, you work 50-70 hour weeks depending on team and are always told to do more.
    5. You are lied to during the interview process. You name it they lie. Job duties, expectations, hours etc. I’m speaking from experience and what many others have told me as well.
    6. Pay - the salaries are fair based on a 40 hour work weeks but you won’t be working 40 hour weeks. You’ll be working until 2 AM often for upgrades, cutovers DR tests, or whatever problem of the week comes up.
    7. The product itself - in theory its great and sells well. Issue is it’s too far gone, the customizations are out of control and the way to support it is not documented. People with knowledge are long gone so it turns into a game of guess and check to figure anything out. Clients are constantly frustrated and over promised and take it out on anyone who faces them.
    8. Dishonest sales team - they say anything to get the client to sign. It is then up to implementation teams to try and clean up.

    To summarize. Your life will be hell if you are part of framework, ops and market data, client engagement or solutions. Literally any post sales client facing role is awful, hence the constant turnover for those teams. Your hours become intolerable and your sanity disappears.

    Management needs a serious clean up. Associate directors and up who solely have that title because of tenure need to go, they should not be managing staff. They feel they are entitled, do little to no work and expect the world from their staff.
    People have been leaving without a job lined up, that speaks volumes. People would rather be poor than work at eze.
    Be honest at your town halls, people don’t want stale sliders, or ‘cute’ videos of trips to Florida that only executives get to enjoy, they want their questions answered. The turnover is not in line with industry standard, you can’t compare yourself to Google or Microsoft when you have a staff of 1,000. People are leaving, those who haven’t yet are trying to. Stop dodging the obvious, address it and come up with a REAL solution, I know you hear and read the complaints, they are always constant.

    Im really hoping things turnaround for the staff who put so much time in. I’m hoping things can be changed for them, they deserve better, most work hard and are truly remarkable and intelligent

    Avantages

    Responsible for full line of automation pipeline, from infrastructure to integration test design/running. Lots of new technologies and learning opportunities on the cloud solutions side.

    Inconvénients

    pay structure (base/bonus) is not ideal.

    - Interaction with senior leadership was encouraged

    Inconvénients

    - As Eze acquired other technology platforms, it was clear that some of these platforms were not as strong as the core Eze platforms. Selling these platforms and believing in the product was a challenge.
