AppTweak felt like high school all over again due to the open favoritism. Identical requests get entirely different responses based on who your a buddies with in the Top Management and HR. The promotion, salary raise and internal opportunities are also based on office politics and favoritism rather than performance. It seems that it is always the same people that get their way like it is a kind of secret society. There is a real lack of transparency and if you are not playing the office politics game, you’re probably not having a real shot at advancement.
The CRO needs a crash course in people skills and management. It’s either her way or the highway, and if you are not on her good side, expect a passive aggressive tone, threats and dismissal. Her micro- and authoritative management creates a toxic environment where everyone is afraid to speak up. Even when concerns are shared with HR, no action is taken. The HR appear to be a facade, they pretend to care but when it comes to action nothing is done, they often turn the situation against you or tell lies.
Also, the Top Management constantly portrays the company as something it is not raises questions about integrity. The everyday reality experienced is so different from the stated values and intents of the Top Management so there is a real lack of trust. It seems that their storytelling skills are top-notch but their decisions show a lack of experience, maturity and professionalism on so many different levels especially in the Revenue Team. The company might look shiny from the outside, but once you’re in, you might find yourself in a less-than-ideal environment.
