Had to write an error-checking script in an unfamiliar language (lua) under duress/time-limited, which I did actually complete and was congratulated for my effort. In fact, after the whole process was done, the recruiter told me that the feedback was "very very positive!", which, when I was told that I didn't get the job, just made the whole experience seem perplexingly akin to an elaborate, sadistic prank.
