The question was probably asked because the person wanted to know what my reaction would be if I did not get the job (aka "rejection.") The question struck home to me because of recent personal situation where I had been rejected by a loved one. My answer was based on that: "I would hurt. My heart would ache. But, I would just have to accept it and move forward."
