Inconvénients
C-suite brings an outdated 50 year old perspective from sales and manufacturing and is trying to apply that to a technology/software company. It’s not working. CEO is absolutely convinced his ideas are amazing, and then constantly face plants. A recent order from him commanded all software developers to develop new offerings. This endeavor completely occupied all developers for close to 9 months. These offers have resulted in close to zero sales/revenue in the many months since launch. He has no idea what he’s doing. His sales staff is basically screaming for him to expand existing offerings, and can back it up with evidence, and nothing. The COO is panicked, flighty, and has no idea how to operate or manage above lower middle management. He constantly injects himself into individual orders, and forces staff to focus on items that are not and should not be the priority. He has on multiple occasions ordered VP level staff to drop everything and meet for multiple hours about how an order valued at less than $1000 could have been a single day late. All the while, orders worth many times that are not being managed or cared for because the teams who would do that work are stuck focusing on the wrong things. If the COO is doing this, who is leading the company? Who is planning? Who is focused on the future? This is heading for disaster.
