Avantages
Little to none. Come on... read the papers. That's just "publicly" how terrible they are (and only half the story).
Inconvénients
Over paid leadership and management. Over a dozen people earning 6 figure salaries while some that were promised an increase in compensation packages after the change over from Dept. of Commerce never saw a penny. Management is terrible with no leadership, very little understanding of how to manage any kind of effective economic development (other than dolling out cheques to companies that support the governor – and can easily do that because the donors/companies have direct access to whomever they need to whether at DOA or WEDC), and are typically just trying to put out the fires that they ironically started themselves. Half the staff is demoralized and unable to effect any real change. The other half are horrible hires that think of themselves as "captains of industry." Well, too many captains on a ship is a perfect analogy of this place. A terrible, terrible, terrible place to work.
