Avantages
Not a better retail career, IMO. If you perform well, you'll be rewarded w/ pay/advancement. I've passed people who've been w/ the company longer just w/ work ethic and an ability to understand the business. No company is growing as rapidly as it was a year ago, and Walgreens is the same. To think that there'd be a better career opportunity would be short-sighted.
Inconvénients
Same as w/ any retail career. If you're salaried, they own you. Don't plan vacations around holidays. SM's get holidays off, but have to work all around them. Also, you'll do alot of baby-sitting (often for people older than you). As should be expected, the hourly people don't always have the same level of dedication as you do, and you have to motivate them to get the job done.
