Avantages
You are working in an industry that is bettering the environment. Co-workers and low level management are great.
Inconvénients
I can't speak for the company as a whole, but the mid to upper level management in my management chain (eastern) is very clique. My area manager is great, but beyond that if you are not friends and going to lunch with the upper managers, your opinion does not matter. I even see my manager having good ideas shut down, because he/she isn't in the clique. With all of the layoffs they are making right now, you basically have to sit and take it or you will end up next on the cut list. The worst part about the layoffs is they are wanting to layoff the best employees (because they are they highest paid) rather than the under performers. I haven't spoken with a single employee who hasn't been browsing Indeed hoping for something more stable, because everyone is afraid they will be next. Sure they say you are safe, but their actions have spoken louder than words.
