      Avantages

      Generous annual leave for staff hired as faculty. Very positive and supportive colleagues.

      Inconvénients

      Departments are very siloed, and there could be more collaboration across offices and departments. Working at a regional campus could be challenging, as we felt disconnected to the main campus.

      Avantages

      The experience was great. The PI was amazing and kind and I learned a lot, definitely would do it again. It yielded great results for me such as publication. I recommend for medical school or graduate school.

      Inconvénients

      Difficult to justify if you don’t plan to have a research career, graduate or professional school because the pay is lower than other positions available in Blacksburg.
