      Good benefits, feeling of community, interesting co-workers, flexible work schedule.

      Inconvénients

      As a state run organization, very beholden to regulations, bureaucratic. Very slow moving approvals process. Outdated accounting management procedures

      Avantages

      The experience was great. The PI was amazing and kind and I learned a lot, definitely would do it again. It yielded great results for me such as publication. I recommend for medical school or graduate school.

      Inconvénients

      Difficult to justify if you don’t plan to have a research career, graduate or professional school because the pay is lower than other positions available in Blacksburg.
