Avantages
Coworkers are very knowledgeable, friendly, and supportive. Staff can be fully remote if they don't live in the area. If they do, they can work remotely or go into the office. There is flexibility regarding work hours, but some groups have mandatory meetings early in the day. Vacation is unlimited. Medical insurance is very good (network, deductible); best employer sponsored insurance I've had in many years.
Inconvénients
Most important thing to know about the work environment and company culture is there are alpha males spraying profanity everywhere. If you don't like that, you will need to expend time and effort to avoid or minimize interacting with them. Management is a train wreck. Senior managers don't get along; two are having a turf war. Project management is practically non-existent. The philosophy of leadership is shown by a sign on the office wall, which I condense to this: If you don't like it here, get the f*** out.
