Avantages

The pros of this company is you get good experience, whether you are in finance, the account side, creative, or research/analytics. This is an environment that you will be challenged and will enhance your resume. You have large clients to work with and this company is part of the Ogilvy and WPP network (great name recognition).

Inconvénients

The cons of this place is that this place is run like a sweat shop. This place is short staffed, and it's challenging to complete work in a timely fashion. There are numerous times working past 6:30, especially with some difficult bosses (usually from the G2 side from the finance end). This company has three different cultures: G2, OgilvyAction, and JWT. The G2 side has infested this company with the sweatshop mentality (no offense). The Ogilvy culture has many office politic problems. The other issue is that NYC decides to hire a bunch of folks, while the other satelitte offices get jipped in hiring less workers (from what I've heard).

Avantages

Loved the great people I worked with at VMLY&R Commerce. Some of the brightest in the industry. I was given so much opportunity to lead. I had great clients and will always be grateful for my 2 years here.

Inconvénients

I worked here during the pandemic so I didn’t get a lot of opportunity to get any kind of training or continued learning opportunities.

Avantages

WPP (parent co.) does a good job at sharing information and policies. Good benefits and percentage paid is fair. Nice office and location. Good I.T. team.

Inconvénients

Client team leads left saying they are tired of putting out fires in their group. Others said you have to whew everything first before you feed it to their peers. One or two creatives do most of the work. The smart and dedicated client SVP's were either pushed out or VML Commerce lost the client due to C Suite interfering in what they knew nothing about.
