Avantages
Siemens Enterprise Communications used to have very good basic benefits for its engineers (no profit sharing or stock options). However, some of those benefits have been cut since the company was sold to Gores Group. There are some pockets within the company that use newer technologies. However, there are a lot of older stuff around.
Inconvénients
The managers in this place either got to be managers by being part of the "club" or by being so incompetent as engineers that they had to be put in as managers. The engineers are not appreciated either by promotion or salary increases/bonuses as a result the people thare are not motivated and they are there because they don't want to move or they don't have many marketable skills left.
