The company does not have a culture beyond making money. They like to “move fast,” at all costs. The founder and president are egomaniacs with very little retail or leadership experience. They both yell often, in one on ones and during broader meetings. They were famous for talking crap about all of their employees openly at their home office in front of their EA, creating a very uncomfortable situation and a wild rumor mill. They search for experts with years of experience and knowledge only to tell them their experience means nothing and undermine them. People are fired often. There is no brand vision or point of view beyond making money. They are unique because of their pack offering, but they offer a subpar product and rely on gamification to improve KPIs. They tout loudly about giving back to the community but I did not witness ANY philothropy during my time there. It is a hostile toxic environment. Bodies of work start and then are quickly put aside for a new shiny idea. Women’s ideas are overlooked, but given runway when a male brings up the identical idea. Everything is always an emergency, there are no non working hours. Decisions were made on slack at 12 am. If you wanted to revisit in the morning because you were asleep it was not welcome. Mistakes were never tolerated or understood. Instead they were publicly broadcast for all to see on a large slack channel. HR is aware and has done nothing.
