      Avantages

      There are no good reasons to work for this company, unless you are starving.

      Inconvénients

      When they need to "trim" the fat or losing accounts, they call you with the story that QA has reviewed your work and it is not "up to par". I am a highly experienced MT andI worked on an extremely complicated and complex speech account. Worked extremely hard for 8-10 dollars an hour (and I am fast). Treated you with no respect. Very unprofessional to employees. No compassion.

      Avantages

      Some managers are ex transcriptionists/editors so they have a great handle on the work. IT dept one of the best I have ever worked with in trans. Good tools/style guides for most accounts. Compensation for broadband, foot pedal and speakers available to those in need.

      Inconvénients

      Merger with M*Modal killed line counts and opportunities to get jobs. Inconsistent proofing editors send mixed messages about style/formatting. Some accounts are almost entirely ESL with poor quality audio; not TTM's fault, but it kills the counts, thus it's a deterrent.
