Avantages
Staff in London are sociable and helpful and some of the work is interesting. Some people there genuinely enjoy working there. I worked on a number of interesting projects. The "small company" feel, reasonable work life balance and more informal culture will appeal more to some than working for a larger financial company. Good ideas are encouraged and listened to. Good people in the right place at the right time have historically been promoted rapidly.
Inconvénients
See comments about the CEO in other reviews. He's clearly driven - a workaholic in fact - but he manages to rub a lot of people up the wrong way with unrealistic goals, unpredictability, micromanaging, and an inability to listen to others. This means that morale is often low amongst staff, and has caused quite a few key people to leave over the years.
