New scheduling system eliminates what was our one weekend day off and creates a random schedule that makes planning impossible. Talk of "no layoffs" doesn't match actions - people are being let go who would not have been if the economy was OK, so the company may not be calling that a layoff, but it is a reduction in staffing levels based on the economy, which sounds like one to me.
