Avantages
Firstly I would like to say it’s an amazing place to send your child if you need alternative provision. The teachers are lovely and really care about their students. - was paid for holidays which is great -
Inconvénients
- there isn’t a space for teachers to stay e.g staff room, to get away from everything. - there were often times miscommunication issues with head office and teachers, which sometimes caused issues with parents/students - the pay isn’t great, and I found myself having to work other jobs during the holidays just to stay afloat, I think a big part of this is the amount of money spent on travelling to different sites for students - sometimes office staff are passive aggressive, and it makes you not want to reach out for anything… even if you do reach out or need help more than likely you won’t get a response for almost a week :/ - there have been instances of no discipline when it comes to students, which ultimately what made me leave. There has been instances where a child has been completely out of line and the schools way of dealing with it was to have a sit down? Although it is an alternative provision, I don’t think kids should be able to get away with everything. - there is no career progression, the notice period is also very long which can make you feel a bit trapped - big emphasis on SEMH but most of the time here my own mental health was in decline and there are not many people to go to - the pay is not worth the stress that comes with the job unfortunately.. I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone sorry to say
