Avantages
- Feel good helping people realize their dreams of designing and building whatever they want. - Coworkers are often creative, passionate and hard-working. - Great access to industrial fabrication tools. - Good networking opportunities for unique skillsets.
Inconvénients
- Shop staff is significantly underpaid and under-appreciated for the hard work they do which leads to early burnout and high employee turnover. - Short sighted corporate management -- VERY little transparency in the company, VERY frustrating. Doesn't feel like a team AT ALL. - I appreciate that the workshop is a different animal and running such a unique environment is challenging, but the amount of drama and tension between shop staff, shop management and corporate is positively juvenile. MANY disgruntled employees that start off just wanting to make things better but are fired instead.
