Taylor is a small school district, less than 400 students in the high school alone. The people though are second to none. The teachers and administration care about students and their staff. Education is a hard place to be right now, but knowing you're working in a district that truly wants to make a difference in the lives of its students helps a lot.

Education is just hard in general. Overall, I'd say the lack of parent involvement often makes things difficult. There's no magic solution to student apathy, and I don't believe this problem is unique to Taylor.
