Avantages
Housing (consumer) products sell well in economic up-down cycles through remodeling or new builds.
An amazing company to work for, with incredible growth, in the 90's and early 2000's.
Strong engagement in the market.
Positioned for huge potential.
Inconvénients
Many new -former automotive- upper management from the pre-bankruptcy era that are
are now applying the same old mentality that tanked billion dollar manufacturing companies. Others upper executives are simply former sales staff that are completely clueless, have no experience with managing the manufacturing ends of a company of this size, and largely rely on former automotive staff. Operating costs are up and quality is down. They've gutted the company of nearly 90% of anyone who had any history there, even though they made it through they made it what it is today and nursed it through the US economic downturn.
I see a split and sell in the company's near future to a larger and more in-touch company like Masco. At that point there will be yet another mass "brooming" of employees.
