If you are interested in the call center industry, TeleTech has many operating units. The company is always looking for call center operations people so there are often jobs opening up, many in the international arena. If you like to travel, there are opportunities to work in international areas such as Argentina, Brazil, Philippines, Malaysia, India, Korea and Australia. The company is opening operations in South Africa as well.
Inconvénients
Ongoing layoffs and firing regardless of the company's financial position. People are laid off for no particular reason at least once a month, which makes for a very uncertain working environment. You literally do not know if you'll have a job from week to week. That's one of the reasons the company always has vacancies - they lay people off and then realize they haven't enough employees to handle daily tasks. The company also does not have a good work/life balance. People routinely work very long hours, then find others in their department are laid off and they end up working even more.
