Avantages

None I can think of (after the acquisition).

Inconvénients

It appears to be a disconnect between the emphasis placed on appearance and messaging versus how values are experienced in day-to-day practices. While presentation and image are prioritised, several actions and people-related decisions do not consistently reflect the values being promoted. As a private equity-owned organisation, business units may be acquired and later downsized/closed, with limited transparency for employees. Leadership roles are at times filled by individuals with zero experience in the sectors they oversee, yet they may still be involved in restructuring or redundancy decisions. Redundancy processes are insufficiently transparent, with criteria excluding individual merit, performance, skills and contributions. Professional standards may also feel inconsistent, particularly during formal HR interactions, which can affect confidence in people processes.

Avantages

High turnover enables broad networking opportunities. At the working-group level, there are some talented staff members and interesting projects.

Inconvénients

For a company of this size, the standard of IMS and QA is appalling. There are no dedicated project delivery or management plan templates, and employees are left to create their own or reuse files from previous companies. These are fundamental tools for any PM firm. The company is plagued by a culture of fear and blame that trickles down from the top. Headcount appears to be a priority for the leadership team, with little regard for talent. The calibre of the directors and leadership team is low. Many are disconnected from project details and rely heavily on junior staff. No structure to performance development or promotions process, favoritism evident. This creates a poor environment for graduates to learn and grow. The hardware and IT systems are among the worst in the industry, resulting in significant inefficiencies. The Sydney office is also in need of refurbishment. The company is a shell of its former self and is rapidly losing work due to its reputation.

Avantages

Variety of projects and clients, that’s about it…

Inconvénients

Talk a big game but limited genuine industry clout or contacts A lot of big salaries for rudderless sector and company leads No clear growth strategy, like 8 year old’s soccer PE squeeze out any hope of a pay rise, celebrate wins all year then plead poverty at review time (year in year out) Promotions have zero process or transparency - jobs for favourites regardless of capability Training is non existent - budgets for favourites, trite videos and generic decks for anyone else
