Avantages
It's a small team, which means you know/interact with everyone. The owners are physically right next to you. You can always interact with them. It's cool that they have had team vacations. The only job where I didn't complain about overtime because of the small team that you felt you had a purpose. For the most part there was zero overtime in 4 years I was there. I even had pinged them if they wanted me to work OT when a project was behind schedule. Nobody likes everyone in the world, but for the most part I'd say 99% of the people were cool people. I never came in and felt pressured/freaked out about not knowing what to do or how to do it. The local area is nice and has good schools. I turned down a lot of jobs wondering if they would be better that working here. I was nervous to even notify the owners I was planning to leave because overall it was a positive experience and felt I let them down by leaving. I somewhat regret leaving because there were a lot of really cool people there.
Inconvénients
I think they are trying to grow too big, and have too high of ambitions. The industry has seen lots of ghosts, and they could easily fall off the map in the next few years. They should stay small and leverage the IP's that they have, but I'm not sure that is what they want to do.
