Very stable company with excellent financial base. Aart has been CEO since he founded the company in 1986 so also provides consistent leadership - no surprises. Great people - very smart and engaging. In semiconductor industry there's always something new to learn. Plenty of opportunities for travel. Good flex time benefits for vacation and sick leave.
Inconvénients
Company has inconsistent career development opportunities. Engineering career ladder is pretty formal and there is an annual promotion opportunity to staff and principal engineer. However, for other roles it's left to the whims of your senior executive and manager to make the effort to file paperwork and fight for a promotion. In many cases, there is just no opportunity unless someone leaves the company or retires and that can take many years. Benefits and fun factor has left the company - HR is more focused on cutting costs and making sure everyone passes the annual ethics training than helping to create a fun work environment.
