Avantages
The avearge person here is broadly smart, has relevant focused expertise and is good to work with. It is rare to find these three together in hi-tech. Corporate strategies over last decade have been well thought out and executed towards being the leader in EDA. Aart de Geus is a fantastic CEO and really does make one feel 'two inch taller' in any interaction with him.
Inconvénients
Growth pace and path are prohibitively slow and employees who value tenure vs. advancement are most likely to stay motivated. Despite the strong strategic thinking that has won the company the leadership of EDA space over the last decade, similarly strong strategic thinking isn't obvious regarding the growth in the next 10 years.
