Avantages

Working environment is nice. The people are really friendly, and it’s fun to work there. If you want a part time job that doesn’t pay much this is a good place for you.

Inconvénients

Management is paid barely over minimum wage. They keep everyone under full time hours so they don’t have to pay benefits, and you have to fight to make more than $12, even as a manager. The owners pull in A LOT of money, but they don’t take care of their employees.

They were flexible on my work hours and didn’t micro manage everything I did. I felt like they trusted me to do what’s best for coaching

Inconvénients

We were understaffed at times

Avantages

When the job is good at Summit, it's great. You're surrounded by great people in an environment focused on passion for climbing, fitness, and the outdoors. Any down time can always be filled with socializing with the interesting visitors or independent tasks of your choice, which is nice. The perks also rock, including free membership and huge gear discounts.

Inconvénients

As much as the job can be an amazing experience and time, it can also inevitably be the opposite. Decisions by management are often poorly(or not at all) thought out, including who gets promoted and manages gyms. Overall, the day-to-day experience is fully dependent on whom is managing and whether there is anything to do. As well, moving up is somewhat pure luck and not something you can expect.
