Used to have a great atmosphere, everyone worked as a team Good hours to work, flexible and also used to consider different peoples strengths (but not at this store anymore).
Inconvénients
working at this store no longer feels like working at Screwfix, the had ripped the culture of Screwfix apart now you might as well work in supermarket. Nothing you do will ever be enough and management turns new starters against current staff and your experience is used to train new staff but then you get slagged off by management for not doing anything. It’s become very unprofessional behind the scenes and the lack of staff previously has been totally disregarded and portrayed as laziness rather than lack of support. Management is not respecting breaks either they just want you to run around and that’s considered hard work. Also, doesn’t matter how long you been in the company your opinion won’t matter. No one likes to come to work anymore whether it’s new or old staff they just keep it quiet
