Inconvénients
If you're not from South Carolina, didn't go to Clemson or SC, forget about it. You will not advance here or make any real money, but probably is a great job for recent grads (from Clemson). It really is a joke - they just keep shuffling middle management around to different departments until they find something they are decent at. They put executives in leadership positions for products they literally know nothing about. An executive there once stood in front of an entire division at their annual sales kickoff, and said, "I don't know how we make money." - and this person was serious and after a year and a half of leading the team. This executive proceeded to show the team a slide that was obviously doctored (because we had the real information in our hands and everyone was passing it around, unbeknownst to the executive) and boldface lied to the team about it. ScanSource rewards tenure only, and only if you are in the Good Ol' Boys Club. ScanSource works their employees to death and severely underpays them. The benefits are subpar, the health insurance is atrocious. They feed you line after line about family, but you are nothing but a number. They will never compete with leading distributors, not even close, because there is zero initiative, vision, and innovation at this company, NONE.
