Avantages

Interesting projects and channels with lots of exposure to new influencers/online trends. Flexible and casual environment.

Inconvénients

No culture. Departments are ridiculously segmented. You have no idea what anyone's role is in the company and communication is non-existent across teams. Everyone stays in their lane and doesn't seem too enthusiastic about doing more than just the bare minimum. Internal politics are rampant. If you can manage to get on the C-level team's good side, you're good; if not, good luck. Lots of inflated egos in every department. Shady, outdated practices: exaggerations on the network's capabilities, unpaid interns that only do busy work instead of actually hiring capable people, lots of turnover, doesn't really act like any of the other MCNs out there (few perks, no actual content creation or community engagement, etc.)

Avantages

The office atmosphere is very open. The executives work under the same roof, literally. The people are wonderful and the office setup is a great way to listen and observe what the managers do. This can be a beneficial thing if one potentially is brought on to work full-time from the internship program. ScaleLab is very new to the multi-channel network (MCN) world, however they have grown very fast and quick in a short amount of time. Their "No Term Contract" is what attracts most content creators to their door because many creators are unhappy with their current MCN's contract and are unable to get out of it. ScaleLab offers this great deal because it makes them accountable for the work and effort they put in to each client and their channels.

Inconvénients

The internship program had it's ups and downs. Some days were monotonous and others were very helpful for me in the learning process of what a MCN actually does. The program is only six-weeks long which seems short but I believe is just right, in terms of the type of work they put most interns on.
