Avantages

Pay will be decent if you're joining newly. Exposure to global teams and a few talented individuals. Some tools and systems are modern.

Inconvénients

Extreme micromanagement. The company uses tools to constantly monitor employees and compare metrics across peers, which creates an unhealthy, surveillance-like work environment. Two-manager setup (India + US) leads to a blame game. Neither takes accountability, and it’s the employee who suffers. No shift allowances despite odd working hours. You’ll be expected to work in shifts with zero benefits or recognition for it. On-call culture is toxic — you’re expected to be available even on weekends and national holidays. It’s heavily disruptive to work-life balance. Although they call themselves a "product company", the Pune office is treated like a back-end service center. India management lacks the courage to push back or negotiate with US counterparts.

Avantages

Collaborative environment, fair compensation and possibility of increase through shares awards, leadership that really tries to involve you with what you like doing - in my time here I never felt like a number, they genuinely care. Affinity groups give you the opportunity to meet people from many areas of the company. Pool of very qualified resources make staffing and overseeing projects easier. Product keeps advancing, so it never gets boring, there is always something new to learn. Good work life balance - heavier workload when projects going live or end of quarters, but lower in between.

Inconvénients

Mostly remote teams - easy to stay isolated, very rare opportunities to bring the team to in person gatherings.

Avantages

I joined SailPoint within the last year, and couldn't be happier with my decision. There are a couple of culture ideals that many companies talk about, but SailPoint makes a core practice. First, they push decision making down to the lowest level. Within just a few weeks, I was making significant decisions about the direction of my products with full support of my manager. Second, SailPoint has a rule, "No talented jerks." Employees that are good at their jobs, but treat coworkers poorly are let go. This has created one of the most respectful, cooperative, and teamwork focused cultures I've ever encountered. Add in working remote full-time and unlimited PTO, and it's hard to think of any downsides.

Inconvénients

If you are not in the Austin area, and are not very comfortable with remote work, you might struggle since most of the company is remote, and you might only have face-to-face in-person time with your team a couple times a year.
