Poor Management, No Vision, and a Corporate Office that is Clearly Struggling - Avis employé Assistant Manager Rural King

Long hours, pay was less than most other retail management jobs. Very poor management that didn’t do their jobs right, but expected everyone else to be better than the best. No clear vision or message to move things forward. Elitism ran rampant creating a clear and at times hostile divide between management and associates. Very “us vs them” mindset. Overall, a pretty harsh and heartless environment unless you were a manager. Undertrained staff and department mangers promoted for convenience rather than merit caused serious issues within the functionality of the store.
