I gained a new appreciation for the art of bread baking. The bakery is spotlessly clean and hygiene is a prime mandate for all employees. The various department heads are patient and nurturing towards new hires and will go out of their way to help new hires who are unfamiliar with the the very intricate process of industrial scale specialty bread baking. The aromas. The sight of bread loaves rising, the " eat what you make" policy for the staff cafeteria. WO.W! Talk about incentive to be part of making something good and good for you.
Inconvénients
Back breaking work. Heavy lifting and repetitive motion take its toll quickly. This is not a job for the physically weak. I lasted 7 1/2 hours of my 12 hour shift before I advised my very sympathetic "team leader" that I wanted to quit. They insisted on paying me out for my time spent at " work", I advised them that I would be happy to take it out in trade with a few loaves. NOPE. Pay it is then.
