Avantages
Staff accountants were all wonderful people, and they were great to work with. Lots of free soda also and good coffee.
Inconvénients
Upper management and partners were sloppy when dealing with staff. One partner would literally run in the office and turned into a total psychopath during tax season. She would also blatantly favor one employee over another, causing a lot of tension in the workplace. They claimed work life balance was one of their goals, yet this partner would survey the office at 4:45 on a Friday in the off season to see who was still present, and if you wanted to be on her good side, you had better be there. Another partner would make crude and almost sexual harassing remarks to some employees and was openly perverted. The other few partners didn't care nor did they do anything about the behavior of these partners. Also, if you want a job where you can count on a bonus or nice salary bump after you pass your CPA, or if you want to be compensated for all the overtime you put in during busy season, then this is not the job for you. You get no rewards for working 70+ hours per week during busy season-no extra bonus, no PTO comp. Good luck.
