Be cautious of any company that endlessly and shamelessly self promotes itself as a really great place to work. Be sure to ask: How many times has Ritchie Bros. made a top employers list (BC or Canada)? The answer is ZERO! not once, not even close... and the long list of negative employer reviews here is just the tip of the iceberg as to why Ritchie Bros. will never be named as a top employer. That pretty much sums Ritchie Bros. as an employer up. The company had to hire a 'employer brand specialist' as a desperate attempt to increase Ritchie employer brand. Notice all the positive reviews since 2016? All new employees are almost forced to leave a positive review as part of their terms of employment It's a sad state of affairs at this company, interpersonal relationships are nasty Management is incompetent and ignorant, employees are treated as liabilities Watch out for the 'orange kool-aid' The culture at this company is toxic, most newer employees are literally barfing orange from have some lame older folk constantly ramming something that used to exist down their throats...
