Avantages
RMC Global is an excellent place to grow and take on new and exciting challenges. I have gained many mentors who have been integral to expanding my foundational knowledge on a variety of topics. I value that our Leadership really tries to be in the loop with our activities and engage in skip-level calls.
RMC leadership has an eye for talent and drive, if they see that you want to grow in a new area or build upon your expertise, they will try their best to create a pathway for you because they value passionate and driven people.
Work life balance at RMC is among the best at the companies I have worked at. Managers are generally understanding if you need to shift around work schedule occasionally for a doctor's appointment.
Inconvénients
RMC provides a lot of opportunities but it's very easy to become triple-hatted. While this has the benefit of experience, the draw back is that you may have some really intense work periods where you may not be able to rely on others for redundancy due to a small or similarly heavily tasked team. That said, our leadership asks us to advocate for ourselves and our needs, including work life balance needs. Being upfront about your work load and communicating this with your manager will help you minimize this common problem.
Dental and medical benefits could be better. Our acquisition by the American Bureau of Shipping earlier this year portends better benefit options. If I could advocate for any change with our benefits it would be 12 weeks paid parental leave.
