Avantages
• Good, person-centered training • Excellent shared mission and values • Flexible schedule • Remote work available (highly desired) • Kind, personable, caring managers at all levels • Fun coworkers and meetings • Supportive environment with emphasis on work/life balance • County rate mileage reimbursement (rare) • Great starting amount of PTO / Holidays and decent benefits
Inconvénients
Job development standards are unreasonable and inefficient for today’s world, but are understandably in place due to nonprofit regulations and funding. Pay is very low for the Twin Cities area. Had to travel often to dangerous areas of Minneapolis which should be better reflected in terms of pay and safety training. Support with the more difficult cases was somewhat lacking and I sometimes felt a bit gaslit/unheard due to this. It is very difficult to find jobs in the Twin Cities area in today’s modern world as it is, let alone for individuals with many barriers. More training to address modern challenges in a metropolitan area, along with potential updates to standards should be addressed. High employee turnover results in constantly changing caseloads and absorbing more clients to address needs of the organization. Clients were frustrated with turnover. Low potential for career growth.
