The company refers to you as an employee, the employment contract refers to you as an employee, however they pay you as a contractor in order to avoid benefits and social security. The CEO changes his mind consistently telling you something one day, then completely changing the next. Despite being a contracted employee they were furious I gave only 2 weeks notice, even though I didn't legally have to or have any obligation to and begged me to stay even longer which I did. I had to call and email multiple times in order to get my 1099 form last year. This year I still haven't received it and taxes are due next week. Shows how little they think of their contractor "employees". It's all about the bottom line.
