Inconvénients
1- The holding company (Ditech Holding, previously known as Walters Investment) hasn’t invested in technology and their thought to reduce expenses and to be profitable was to outsource tasks to India, which is a big mistake. 2- The holding company kept the Reverse side on the back burner in their projects and initiatives, which gave me the impression that they didn’t care, and honestly, I wish some other company at would buy RMS . 3- The reverse company has been losing money year after year ( mainly due to HUD’s unfair regulation and lack of investment in technology) and I’m not sure how long they can keep losing money ! 4- The holding company started to ask for employees’ contributions in money saving ideas a little too late. 5- The government’s regulation (HUD) are now designed in a way that makes it very difficult for Servicers to make money. For the longest time, there was a lack of regulations in the Reverse World and in the past three years HUD decided to wake up and impose all kinds of restrains on Servicing while disregarding the Servicing process. This caused a lot of companies to go under and or to exit the reverse origination altogether.
