Avantages
Decent starting pay, prospects for advancement seem to come quickly and promotions are handled internally, shouldn't be any outsiders coming into positions ahead of you
Inconvénients
The hours are unforgivably long. You are allowed no time away from RAC, and your personal life will suffer. I never see my friends or my fiance, all for $9.25 an hour. Working outside in the elements is difficult, and a lot of the places we go are generally caked in mud resulting in ruined shoes/pants. Lots of filthy places on the inside as well. Calling and hassling customers every day all day gets very old. You are asked to deliver washers/dryers/refrigerators by yourself, sometimes into tight spaces. If it can't be done alone, you're chastised and made to feel inadequate. Did I mention the hours are long? 10-12 hour days, no Saturdays off, and management will never let you request a day off for anything. I worked 59 hours last week, and asked my manager for Tuesday off so I could see my niece and nephew 5 hours away for a day after Christmas. The answer was "That's not possible." A standard 40-hour workweek with rotating saturdays off would go a long way.
