As a current team member, you know that at the beginning of this year you heard our founders share their long-term vision and the shifts in strategy and culture we’d be making to get there. We’ve been consistent in strategy since then and are very close to achieving the ambitious goals we set for ourselves by the end of the year.
In reading your review, it seems the biggest opportunity for improvement is in ensuring that you as a Remoter understand this vision and how we’re getting there. It’s understandable that this perceived lack of coordination and transparency can lead to frustration, and it’s important that you understand how to find the information you’re looking for.
Remote’s high-performance culture does not mean any compromises on employee wellness. All Remoters are still encouraged to take unlimited PTO and build a schedule that works for them. Workload management and performance expectations are both very individual, so these are important topics for you to bring up to your manager. We're committed to setting realistic, achievable objectives for ourselves, our company, and everyone here.
