Avantages
I worked on a program support side of the house, in project scheduling. Good and very understanding and trustworthy management, smart customer, (brain) challenging programs, you are surrounded by very intelligent people who are only a few steps down the hallway and eager to help or a phone call away.
Good benefits, fully paid medical, cell phone bill reimbursement, somewhat on a higher side of annual and sick leave when compared with other contracting companies. Great office facility, Decent 401K. Nice holiday party and the Thanksgiving gift in a form of an enormous shipment of chocolat
Inconvénients
These are not serious cons, but rather "low hanging fruit" issues that can easily be fixed, which is why I kept rating at 5 stars.
You are in a consulting role, so not much regular daily interaction with your peers. Company level industry specific training was not there, again proactivity is needed to get it individualy. Due to nature of the job it is hard to get promoted, but they started working on that recently. Annual pay raises are lower than inflation, and bonuses are minimal. Very few mutual funds in 401K plan and a 1990 like plan's website.
