Dinner is cheap. ・Strong and unique company culture. ・Bright people from all over the world. ・Visionary CEO and unique business model. ・Good for your resume. Almost every Japanese knows Rakuten as the biggest e-commerce company in Japan. e-commerce consultant is the profit center and core business of Rakuten. So, you can feel like making a lot of contribution to the company.

Inconvénients

・Middle management people don't work. Many of them can't use English even though the company uses English as the official language. Managers ask new grads or new comers to translate their Japanese into English scripts for meetings. ・So many meetings and some of them are useless. ・Low compensation compared with the competitors. Many colleagues move to other companies within 3years, because salary doesn't increase. ・No work-life balance. Long hours working style, especially in sales department in Japan.

Avantages

Rakuten Rewards has great life balance. Too bad the economy was getting rocked.

Inconvénients

Don't really have any cons. I understand that the market's been hard so had to downsize the force, so that was kinda challenging. Hopefully AI will increase everyone's output.
