The message from the CEO was everything is fine. A few days later, a third of the workforce was suddenly laid off. I was given no warning in advance and was removed from all internal IT systems within 10 minutes of being told. I also only got 1 week's notice pay because I was still in my probation period. There was no other compensation offered. I left a stable job which I was in for 4 years to join ROOM so that was particularly disappointing. I'd also taken the time to visit their New York office when I was there on my holiday just before starting the job. It didn't count for anything in the end!
