Avantages

1) Opportunities for personal growth are unlimited...for those who take responsibility for their own results and career path! 2) I gain tremendous extrinsic value in being part of a team that is changing the face of American healthcare and building a company from scratch! 3) I see a specific link between my effort, my results, and my compensation...

Inconvénients

1) Opportunities for personal growth are limited by your own imagination, work ethic and willingness to take responsibility for your own happiness. 2) This is not your father's Fortune 100 company...internal and external processes are under constant development 3) This is not your typical Silicon Valley start-up either...the pressure to market a vision of the future is muted by the desire to deliver results, real value, for our customers

Avantages

The voluntary separation offer was good.

Inconvénients

I and hundreds of colleagues were transferred from Providence Health & Services to R1. We were told we were guaranteed our jobs for a year. They started offering voluntary separation packages less than a year in. This was suspicious. I didn't take the first couple of offers, but eventually I did - things were feeling uneasy. Since leaving I've heard that there were several layoffs. R1's India team has taken over a lot of the coding we were doing. In the reviews I read before we started with R1 I know losing jobs to the India team was common. I'm glad I left when I did but it's been hard finding a new job.
