Avantages

I like the job duties. Not very difficult. The pay is good.

Inconvénients

Very bad communication with managers and VPs. A lot of scare tacit every day for a company that is working to get revenue that should have already been there from patients. The company is full of "hard core" business people that act as if they are earning extra money, when in fact they are capturing anticipated money for services that have already been rendered. Don't expect respect from anyone. There is a wide range of self fed and blindly fed self importance. Major lack of correctly majored college educated people for this company; this seems to be mostly due to Accretive and top level management wanting people to believe everything they say and not think on their own. I don't trust managers on a social level. They don’t know the difference between being demure (as they should be when necessary) and telling a lie (which is always unnecessary).

Avantages

The voluntary separation offer was good.

Inconvénients

I and hundreds of colleagues were transferred from Providence Health & Services to R1. We were told we were guaranteed our jobs for a year. They started offering voluntary separation packages less than a year in. This was suspicious. I didn't take the first couple of offers, but eventually I did - things were feeling uneasy. Since leaving I've heard that there were several layoffs. R1's India team has taken over a lot of the coding we were doing. In the reviews I read before we started with R1 I know losing jobs to the India team was common. I'm glad I left when I did but it's been hard finding a new job.
