Avantages

Helping people is the best part of the job

Inconvénients

Upper management is horrible. You have to be worried about retaliation if you say anything. people that have been there for a really long time get a lower pay raise than people that have only been there a year or two and show up late and don’t do a good job.

Amazing work life balance and flexible hours with many projects to learn from

Inconvénients

No promotions, and the yearly pay increase is basically the inflation rate

Avantages

The voluntary separation offer was good.

Inconvénients

I and hundreds of colleagues were transferred from Providence Health & Services to R1. We were told we were guaranteed our jobs for a year. They started offering voluntary separation packages less than a year in. This was suspicious. I didn't take the first couple of offers, but eventually I did - things were feeling uneasy. Since leaving I've heard that there were several layoffs. R1's India team has taken over a lot of the coding we were doing. In the reviews I read before we started with R1 I know losing jobs to the India team was common. I'm glad I left when I did but it's been hard finding a new job.
