Leaving on time was made difficult because your coworkers would only have to stay longer to complete a job that should have been saved for a fresh shift. While I was only and audio visual tech, at my particular location I was often the A1, running the board for massive corporate events, and never received a raise. I started at 15 dollars and hour and worked for 2 years, learning new equipment, running massive shows, and still got the same low rate. Other A1s running events this size would be paid 300 to 500 a day.
